Photo of the Month, Dec. 2012

We usually don’t do a Photo of the Month in December because of all the hustle and bustle and tons of emails sent around in anticipation of the holidays, but this year we decided to do one anyway.

This is the time of year when we’re joyful, happy, loving our fellow man, Joy to the World and stuff.  But I’ve been bouncing back and forth.  Like everybody else, I’ve been watching the news about the tragedy in Connecticut.  And like all of us, we are saying a prayer for everyone.  But every day, there is some horrific act somewhere in the world that the news doesn’t cover, the President doesn’t go visit, but another heartbeat has stopped, and someone’s not going to be there the next day.  So I think we should all take a moment to pray and think about the people we do know, and the people we don’t know.  Positive thoughts of peace and love can go a long, long way.

Enjoy this season with your family and friends, like I’ve said before, the ones you want to see as well as the ones you have to see.  By now you’ve got your Holiday Tree, your Christmas Tree, your Hanukkah Bush, your Menorah, or whatever else you decorate with.  I say “Holiday Tree” because I saw on the news that there’s an attack on Christmas because some have chosen to use the term “Holiday Tree” instead of “Christmas Tree.”  No one complained what it was called when it was growing in the woods.  Now they’re fighting about it because of what you want to call it in your own living room.  I say this over and over: learn to respect other people’s differences.

So, okay, people, it’s also time to start renewing those New Year’s Resolutions that we didn’t keep last year!  I’ll talk to you next year, in 2013!  Have a Happy New Year!
